Geographic Location

The geographic location, considers the area of the country your house is in, the prevailing weather conditions and the winter and summer temperatures.

While the geographic location will dictate to some extent the performance and energy efficiency of your home through ensuring the correct orientation of the house to maximise solar gain and optimizing the passive systems (building envelope through correct materials and levels of insulation) the geographic location should not adversely effect the house’s energy efficiency and comfort levels.
