Northland's first energy efficient marine township in development

Residents of Marsden Cove near Whangarei will soon be able to enjoy the ultimate in energy efficient living thanks to a recent agreement between Right House, New Zealand's energy efficiency solutions company and property developer, Hopper Developments.

The partnership sees Right House teaming up with leading Northland builders to create Whangarei's first and only street of energy efficient homes at Marsden Cove.  Right House specialises in all aspects of home energy use, such as insulation, heating, cooling, water heating and electricity usage.  They provide a start to finish service, expert advice, customised solutions, a wide range of products and quality assured installations.  Right House experts analyse homes and building projects to give customers an intergrated solution for their home which complements individual lifestyles and budgets.  They recommend the best combination of products and systems with an aim to reduce energy consumption and create a warmer and healthier home.

The Marsden Cove development is a comprehensively planned marine township which includes a 230 berth marina and waterfront boulevard at its heart. Once complete, the allocated Right House homes will see home owners able to enjoy significant savings on their energy bill, as well as a greater resale value.  Within the designated Right House neighbourhood here will be a variety of homes; some with canal frontage and some without, but each home will be designed with its own customised Right House solution to ensure occupants enjoy maximum comfort all year round and lower running costs.

Marsden Cove is set to become one of New Zealand's most desirable coastal holiday destinations.  Over 800 residential houses will make up the development and once complete the township will embody the advantages of waterway living.

"This is a really exciting opportunity for Right House.  This partnership sees us expanding into marine development which is a first for Right House and by bringing our expert services to the Marsden Cove development we will be able to deliver practical solutions in creating energy-efficiency homes.  The coastal lifestyle is one of comfort and luxury and our customised homes will complement this lifestyle," says Mr Sisson, CEO Right House.

Leigh Hopper, CEO of Hopper Developments says, "Hoppers is keen to support and promote the Right House concept and recognise the importance of environmental awareness and energy efficiency in these modern times.  This principal fits with our company's reputation for being innovative market leaders".
